Progressive Goal Attainment Program — PGAP

PGAP, an evidence-based treatment program targeting psycho-social barriers to recovery and rehabilitation for clients suffering from debilitating health or mental health conditions.

Chiropractic

Chiropractors are experts trained in the neuromusculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat disorders of the spine and other body joints by adjusting the spinal column or through other corrective manipulation. Chiropractors provide conservative management of neuromusculoskeletal disorders including, but not limited to, back, neck and head pain (over 90 percent of conditions treated). They also advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists establish a physical diagnosis and determine a client’s movement potential through detailed history- analysis and evaluative outcome measurements and hands-on tests. Physiotherapy can help restore normal body function. As well as treat: a specific injury or illness, muscle strains and tears, joint sprains, loss of movement in a joint, chronic pain and weight loss.

Massage Therapy (RMT)

The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain. We have both male and female registered massage therapists on staff.

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics insoles are shoe inserts that help to minimize and correct abnormal foot motion and weight distribution. Especially excessive pronation (a “knock-kneed” person has overly pronated feet) and supination (a “Bow-legged” person suffers from supinated feet) of the lower ankle or subtalar joint (where the Talus meets the Calcaneus). They provide stability for the foot and correct injury-causing imbalances; this improves the integrity of your body’s muscles and supports proper skeletal alignment.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning by stimulating the flow of “Qi” (pronounced chee). Qi can be influenced and balanced by stimulating specific points on the body. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
